Squadron Awards 2007

The Squadron's Awards were presented on Sunday 4 February 07. ATC Sunday the anniversary of the ATC receiving its Royal Warrant from the King on 5 February 1941. 

This year the award ceremony took place at Social Club of Buckland Athletic Football Club, Newton Abbot

1322 (Newton Abbot) Squadron Presentation Evening was attended by:-

Newton Abbot’s Town Mayor Cllr Daphne Watts the Squadron President.

Wing Commander Brian Wills-Pope RAFVR(T) MBE & Sqn Ldr Terry Ancell RAFVR(T) from HQ of Devon & Somerset Wing ATC

Squadron Trustees including representatives from the British Legion and Royal Air Force Association

The vast majority of Staff & cadets from Newton Abbot - with their families.

It was really good that a few cadets and their families from 1322 Teignmouth Detached Flight also attended - they are now aware of a few of the vast amount of opportunities available to them.

The squadron celebrated the Team achievements during the year

 Awarded to the Cadet or NCO for the best academic achievements at Leading, Senior and Staff classification exams during the year.

The parents of the late fun loving Cadet Vicky Tucker who tragically died from meningitis have kindly donated the Vicky Memorial Trophy.

       Awarded to the NCO or Cadet who receives the highest number of nominations from fellow cadets during the Presentation Evening.

The Squadron President the Mayor of Newton Abbot made a speech

The Mayor of Newton Abbot was thanked for attending the Presentation Evening, as a token of thanks the Mayors Cadet presented a small gift.

The CO thanked everyone including the staff team.
