Squadron Awards 2008

 

The Squadron's Awards were presented on Sunday 3 February 2008.

ATC Sunday the anniversary of the ATC receiving its Royal Warrant from the King on 5 February 1941. 

This year the award ceremony took place at Social Club of Buckland Athletic Football Club, Newton Abbot

1322 (Newton Abbot) Squadron Presentation Evening was attended by:-

Newton Abbot’s Town Mayor Cllr Keith Smith the Squadron President and the Mayoress.

Wing Commander Brian Wills-Pope RAFVR(T) MBE & Sqn Ldr Terry Ancell RAFVR(T) from HQ of Devon & Somerset Wing ATC

Special guest South West Regional Commandant Group Captain Remilinger RAF

Available Squadron Trustees including representatives from the British Legion and Royal Air Force Association  

The vast majority of Staff  & cadets from Newton Abbot - with their families.

It was really good that members from 1322 Teignmouth Detached Flight also attended and received the credit they deserve. 1322 Detached Flight is now thriving as a result of its members taking advantage of opportunities available to them.

The squadron celebrated the Team achievements during the year  

The Team are doing well especially as we celebrate being the Regional Lees Trophy representatives one of the top 6 squadrons in the country

The Mayor & Mayoress of Newton Abbot was thanked for attending the Presentation Evening, as a token of thanks the Mayors Cadet presented gifts.
