Members of 1322, as Honorary Citizens of
Newton Abbot, supported Newton Abbot Town Council, during the
official events to mark the 60th anniversary of the end of the Second World
War.
This page records some of the aspects of the day - naturally
during the busy times, when we were on parade and during the service it's
not convenient or appropriate to use cameras.
Commemoration took
the form of a wreath laying service at the War Memorial followed by a short service around the Bandstand organised by Newton Abbot
British Legion whom 1322 are Affiliated with.
Pictures shows CWO Lindsey Sayers with our
Squadron Banner.
Various stalls and displays
provided by local charities and organisations were set up around the
park.
Naturally 1322 were represented -
Thanks to the hard work of the Friends Of 1322 organised by Karen
Avery & Marion Sayers
Pictures show 1322 area - during the set up stage
& later chilling out enjoying the day.
Celebrations centred on the Band
Concert in Courtenay Park with a sing along and flag waving
session.
As always 1322 cadets worked hard
and had fun.
Pictures show 1322 posed for the picture with
flags & a general picture of the park during the day.
